ready for those hearty one-pot dinners, and the oven being on
but my geraniums and dahlias are in full bloom. No matter - I
have been busy with lots of new recipes and cooking programs and
moving on to the ...

possible to have delicious snacks on a shoestring budget. Here

Grilling and Barbecuing, two of the most popular cooking methods
in the U.S., especially in warmer weather. There are some who
know the difference between grilling and barbecuing, and some
who don't. Do you?
To put it simply, Grilling is fast cooking over high heat, while
barbecuing involves a slower cooking method, over a lower heat.
Grilling is generally done over a gas flame, or hot coals.
Tender cuts of meat are best for this cooking method. The quick
cooking and the high heat seal in the ...

The history of American soul food can be traced all the way back
to the days of slavery. More often times than not, the slaves
were given the most undesirable part of the meal, the leftovers
from the house. Pairing this with their own home-grown
vegetables, the first soul food dishes were invented. After the
slaves were freed, most of them were so poor that they could
only afford the most undesirable, inexpensive cuts of meat
available to them. (The leftover, unwanted parts of a pig such

There is a lot of misunderstanding on the surface about the
subject of British cuisine. This is mainly because British
cuisine varies widely, depending on what part of the country
you're visiting. The cuisine of London, for example, is far
different from the cuisine of Yorkshire, or the cuisine of tiny,
unfamiliar regions scattered across the country and virtually
unknown to Americans. In my opinion, the true cuisine of the
British is not what is found in the big cities, but the ...

Pairing beer with the fine cuisine has recently come to the
attention of many eating establishments as they try to cater to

drink fit for a succulent entree. You too can bring this art
form into your own home with a few simple tips.
Much like wine, you must consider the style of cuisine and the
predominant flavors in a dish. Here are a few examples to get
you started:
Deep savory flavors, such as a dry-rubbed steak, can be ...

Everything goes better with Jello.
I think I remember an advertising slogan that said something
like that. And our favorite gelatin really does go well with all
kinds of dishes. Jello has got to be one of the most versatile
foods ever invented.
I'm sure you've had jello for dessert at some point in your
life. Or, a fruit laden jello mold salad made with lime, orange,
or strawberry jello with bits of fruit inside. Those salads make
a delicious and beautiful presentation at luncheons.
